Beginning on or after Wednesday, Feb. 12, flaggers will temporarily close single lanes on S.R. 39/Morton Avenue for a few work days near Plaza Drive. This will allow crews to prepare for water line work in the area.
An increasing number of crews are working on state and local roads in Martinsville as part of I-69 Finish Line construction. The Indiana Department of Transportation urges drivers to stay alert for flaggers, temporary lane closures and changing traffic patterns.
Traffic crews continue to modify signals along Morgan and Main streets. Contractors are working along State Road 39/Morton Avenue to locate existing utility lines, install new lines, remove trees and minimize erosion. Be sure to watch for crews, stay alert and slow down in the area.
