MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. (July 15, 2020) – Crews plan to change pavement markings and traffic signals on Thursday at two State Road 144 intersections near the Morgan/Johnson county line.
A new traffic signal will be turned on at the S.R. 144 intersection where Mann Road meets Centenary Drive in Morgan County. Traffic at the intersection was previously controlled with a flasher and a two-way stop.
In addition, a second turn lane will be striped and turn arrow activated for eastbound S.R. 144 traffic turning left onto northbound S.R. 37.
Please stay alert near the intersections as drivers adjust to the new traffic patterns.
The improvements will help safely move more traffic through these intersections when a portion of S.R. 37 closes in Martinsville next year for I-69 construction. The detour will follow S.R. 39, S.R. 67 and S.R. 144.
