  • Concrete is flowing for the new I-69 pavement and bridges in Martinsville! The new State Road 44 bridge deck over I-69 was poured last week. Similar pours are planned for the next two weeks where I-69 crosses over Sartor Ditch and the S.R. 39 ramps. Watch for increased truck traffic entering the work zone from S.R. 37 northbound past Indian Creek.
  • INDOT maintenance crews are applying a thin asphalt mixture and lane markings to recently chip-sealed highways near Martinsville. As weather permits, two days of work are expected for S.R. 67 south of S.R. 39 followed by two days for S.R. 252 east of S.R. 37.
  • Traffic on both Ohio Street and S.R. 252 are expected to shift onto new pavement in the coming weeks. S.R. 252 will be shifted southwest to build new roundabouts at Cramertown Loop and the I-69 entrance and exit ramps. Ohio Street will shift about 50 feet northeast to a new alignment so that work on the I-69 bridges overhead can continue.
  • Huggin Hollow Road has reopened to traffic north of Banta Road. It was realigned to connect with Waverly Park Road/Old S.R. 37 just south of S.R. 144.
  • Banta Road north of S.R. 37 is expected to close today for about two weeks. Crews will be paving the new I-69 southbound lanes through the area. The detour follows the new Huggin Hollow Road, Waverly Park Road and S.R. 144.
  • Crews will be adjusting concrete barrier placement this week along S.R. 37 near the Smith Valley and Olive Branch road intersections. The right lane of S.R. 37 may be closed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  • Nighttime S.R. 37 lane closures between Belmont Avenue and Fairview Road are expected to end mid-week. Temporary concrete barriers are being installed as weather permits, and crews will work behind those barriers for temporary paving along the northbound lanes.
  • Drivers should stay alert and watch for flaggers on Carson Avenue near I-465 on or after Wednesday. A crew is expected to be locating utility lines in the area between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
  • Watch for flaggers and increasing construction traffic entering and exiting Wicker Road just west of S.R. 37. Slow down and stay alert in the area.
  • It’s easy to find project news and updates for the entire corridor any time on our new and improved I-69 Finish Line website.  Check out this short video for a sneak peek.

The actual starting date and duration for work and any closures may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen activities occur.
