MARTINSVILLE, Ind. (March 2, 2020) – Flaggers are expected to temporarily stop State Road 39/Morton Avenue traffic as needed during the day this Tuesday, March 3. A crew will be removing large trees near the auto parts stores.

Drivers should minimize distractions and stay alert for crews cutting trees, clearing brush and grinding stumps along S.R. 39, S.R. 37 and Twin Branch Road. For each acre of trees cleared, the I-69 Finish Line project preserves two acres of existing trees and replants one acre.

Martinsville roads are being improved this year in preparation for the full closure next year of S.R. 37 north of S.R. 39 and south of Twin Branch Road/Morgan Street.
